Kim LaSavio, viola
Kim LaSavio, viola, graduated summa cum laude from Sacramento State University in 2006 with dual bachelor’s degrees in music and viola performance, studying with Anna Kruger, and received her Master of Music degree from CSUS in 2009. She was a founding member of Camerata Capistrano, the baroque ensemble at the university, where she studied baroque performance with professors Lorna Peters and John Dornenburg. She also played with the CSUS Symphony and Opera Orchestra and was the graduate assistant to Professor Leo Eylar, working as his orchestra manager and symphony librarian. She has sung with the elite chamber choir at Sac State and studied choral conducting with Dr. Donald Kendrick. She has performed with Vox Musica, Camerata California, Folsom Symphony, the Sacramento Baroque Soloists, and the Albany Consort. In her spare time Kim enjoys hiking, sewing, and feeding her horses, dogs, cats, goats, and ducks, and she is enjoying being a grandmother to her thirteen grandchildren.
