Marieke Furnee received her masters degree in violin in her native Holland, where she also studied the viola. She toured with the Ricciotti ensemble, was a member of the Brabants Kamerorkest, and played with the orchestra of Brabant as well as with many small baroque ensembles. She received her baroque training from Remy Baudet, a member of the orchestra of the 18th century.
After moving to Oregon House, California in 2001 Marieke performed with Apollo Baroque Orchestra, Camerata California, the Chico Bach festival and the North
State Symphony. She has performed as a member of Sacramento Baroque Soloists since 2003. She is specializing further and studies baroque violin with Michael Sand.
