The rise of cello virtuosi in the early
18th century led to a varied repertoire for solo cello. Cellists Michael Lawson,
John Lutterman, and Amy Brodo will be joined by violone/viola da gamba player
Lynn Tetenbaum and harpsichordist Ellen Deffner in presenting a program of works
by Marcello, Cervetto, Barriere, Corrette, and Telemann.

Giacomo Bassevi Cervetto- Trio No. 6 for 3 cellos in C minor
Georg Philipp Telemann- Concerto for Four Violins in G major,
transcribed for 2 viols and 2 cellos
Jean-Baptiste Barriere- Sonata No. 2 in A minor for 2 cellos and basso
continuo
Michel Corrette- Concerto Le Phenix for 4 cellos and basso continuo
