A Night in Venice

St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1430 J St, Sacramento, CA 95814

Venice in the 18th century was best known as a center for revelry and high living, with Europeans traveling from afar to attend the theater, opera, and the masked revelries of Carnival. In the midst of this extravagance Antonio Vivaldi made his fame as a violinist and composer of concertos, opera, chamber music, and church music. In their last concert of the season, Sacramento Baroque Soloists perform chamber concertos and trio sonatas of this influential composer.

I'm looking forward to attending your concert at St. Paul's. This will be the third year in a row I've enjoyed celebrating the upcoming solstice with your gorgeous music.

We have been attending your concerts since you came to the Harris Center (Three Stages). We really like what you do, the group and each individual are amazing performers. We are looking forward to next season but if you happen to have a summer concert in the area, please let us know. I will mention our view of your group to Dave Pier, the Executive Director of the Harris Center because we certainly want you to be invited back. Also, Ms Dicce at last night's concert was beyond amazing. She has, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful soprano voices (in a phrase "achingly pure") we have ever heard, and we have heard many fine sopranos. We hope you can induce her to come back next year. Thanks!
