Sacramento
Baroque Soloists,
founded in 2001,
is Sacramento's own baroque music ensemble.
World-class musicians from in and around Sacramento perform our concerts with
the artistry and professionalism one expects in our growing community, playing
Baroque music with enthusiasm polished with historical knowledge.
In
this 2008-2009
season we begin with a concert of Bach Sonatas, with works for violin and
harpsichord, solo cello, and viola da gamba. For our second concert, we've invited
world-renowned recorder player Judith Linsenberg to join us again to perform
chamber concertos of Vivaldi and Telemann. Our final concert will be a performance
of all Vivaldi concertos and concerto grossi.
Concerts are held in beautiful St. Paul's Episcopal Church, which was built
reproducing a 16th-century church. The exquisite woodwork and stained
glass windows are the ideal setting for this music.
